LivingWorks ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals, discussions, and simulations.
During this training, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, how to provide a skilled intervention, and how to develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. You will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it. ASIST is utilized and recommended by crisis lines across the world to develop skills and confidence in effectively supporting people thinking of suicide.
This training is open to all, though it will also expose interpreters to potential language for use in these types of situations they may be interpreting. 1.4 RID PS CEUs will be provided for interpreters.
Cost is $80
