About the event

We invite you to honor and reflect with us on December 1st, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., as we come together for Deaf World AIDS Day. This meaningful event will be a time to remember those who have been affected by HIV/AIDS, celebrate the resilience of our community, and raise awareness about the ongoing fight against the epidemic.

Program DetailsThe program will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. and include a variety of impactful activities: The location is at Dendros Community Space, 2642 University Ave W #140, St Paul, MN 55114. 

Program led by MDQ's Core team, Jer Loudenback, with support from Kyle Littlepage and Jessalyn Akerman-Frank 

  • Candlelight Vigil: A circle where we will hold candles and honor the names of loved ones living with or who have passed due to complications of HIV/AIDS.

  • ASL Poetry Presentation: A special performance by Tim Riker, showcasing the power of language and expression in the Deaf community.
